Lymphatic Drainage
🌿 Lymphatic Drainage: Detoxify and Rebalance Your Body
Lymphatic drainage is a gentle and effective manual massage technique that stimulates lymph circulation, allowing the body to eliminate toxins, reduce water retention and strengthen the immune system.
The lymphatic system plays a key role in maintaining the body's balance. It acts as a natural filter, transporting waste and excess fluids out of tissues. However, stress, sedentary lifestyle, surgery or certain pathologies can slow down its proper functioning, causing swelling, fatigue and weakening of the immune system.
Benefits
Reduction of edema and water retention
Improved circulation and detoxification
Strengthening of the immune system
Improvement of skin appearance and reduction of cellulite
Accelerated recovery after surgery or injury
Relaxing and soothing effect
How a session works
Each session is tailored to your needs, with gentle and rhythmic movements to activate lymphatic circulation without pain. The work is done on the legs, arms, abdomen and back.
Manual lymphatic drainage: a gentle, powerful technique
Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) stimulates the flow of lymph — the fluid essential to immunity and to clearing cellular waste. Developed in the 1930s by Emil and Estrid Vodder, it is now recognised across a wide range of medical and aesthetic indications.
Unlike a regular massage, MLD uses very light pressures (around 30 to 40 g/cm²) and slow, rhythmic movements. Effective drainage respects the natural pace of lymph, which flows around twenty times slower than blood.
I integrate MLD both as a stand-alone treatment and as a complement to other approaches: post-surgery, pregnancy, circulatory conditions or simple wellness.
Benefits of lymphatic drainage
- Reduced post-operative and post-trauma oedema
- Relief from heavy legs and swollen ankles
- Support for chronic lymphoedema (after lymph node removal)
- Immunity support and faster recovery
- Better skin quality, visible lift on the face
- Deep relaxation via parasympathetic activation
- Valuable during pregnancy (heavy legs, oedema)
Main indications
- ·Oedema after aesthetic surgery (rhinoplasty, liposuction, abdominoplasty)
- ·Recovery from dental or maxillofacial surgery
- ·Arm lymphoedema after breast cancer treatment (with medical clearance)
- ·Chronic venous insufficiency, water retention
- ·Chronic fatigue and low immunity
- ·Pregnancy: heavy legs, oedema, postpartum preparation
- ·Facial drainage: puffy eyes, dull complexion, recurrent sinusitis
- ·High-intensity sports preparation and recovery
How a session unfolds
Tailored assessment
We discuss your condition, goals and any contraindications (active cancer, recent thrombosis, acute infection).
Opening the nodes
Every session starts at the neck and collarbone nodes to prime the system for drainage.
Targeted drainage
Progressive work on the relevant areas: legs, abdomen, arms or face depending on the indication. Slow, rhythmic, enveloping movements.
Closing
Return to the proximal nodes and rest. You get up slowly, with a glass of water to support the clearance.

Why book drainage at my clinic
I use the classic Vodder method, the international benchmark for manual lymphatic drainage. Techniques are precise, gentle and respectful of your lymph's natural pace — no harsh compression, no painful movement.
I coordinate with plastic surgeons and aesthetic physicians in Tel Aviv for post-op follow-up. Sessions can begin within days of the procedure, once healing allows.
Lymphatic drainage in Tel Aviv
The clinic welcomes patients from Tel Aviv, Ramat Gan, Herzliya and surrounding cities. Many French-speaking expats come specifically for post-aesthetic-surgery drainage or to manage the heavy-leg feeling caused by Mediterranean heat.
