The sport

Sport is a very broad field that encompasses different practices and purposes. In my approach, I consider sport from three different angles: the search for strength, muscular hypertrophy and muscular endurance. Each of these aspects can be addressed in a specific way to achieve specific physical performance goals. In addition, there is also cross training which allows you to combine these different aspects of the sport for a more complete and balanced practice. We can work together to determine the needs of your sports practice and thus establish a personalized training plan to achieve your goals.

Which sport to choose?

Strength training 

maximum strength is a method of bodybuilding that aims to increase muscle strength using very heavy loads, usually between 80% and 100% of the maximum load that one can lift once (1 maximum repetition or 1RM) . Sets are generally short, ranging from 1 to 7 reps, with longer recovery times between sets to allow for full recovery before the next set. This method is often used by strength athletes such as weightlifters, powerlifters and strongmen to improve their performance in their sport.

Hypertrophy

Muscle hypertrophy is a common goal in the world of sports and fitness, which involves increasing muscle mass without necessarily seeking to improve strength or athletic performance. To achieve this goal, practitioners use techniques such as resistance training, the use of heavy weights, and the manipulation of training variables such as rep count and recovery times. The goal is to stimulate muscle growth by creating micro-damages in the muscle fibers, which leads to increased muscle repair and hypertrophy.

Endurance: muscular or cardiovascular

Muscular endurance is a branch of sport that focuses on the ability to perform the same movement repeatedly, without trying to increase muscle mass or strength. Muscular endurance exercises are often performed with lighter weights, but with a higher number of repetitions. Recovery times between sets are also shorter, which helps maintain continuous physical activity. Muscular endurance activities generally include cardiovascular exercises such as running, cycling, elliptical, but also weight training sessions with lighter weights. The goal is to improve muscular endurance, cardiovascular endurance and the ability to perform long-duration physical activities.

Cross-training

Cross-training is a form of training that combines several aspects of sport, such as strength, hypertrophy and muscular endurance, into a balanced training program. The goal of cross-training is to develop overall fitness, rather than specializing in a single discipline. Cross-training sessions can include weight lifting exercises, cardiovascular exercises, gym moves, and high-intensity workouts. Cross-training has become popular among elite athletes and fitness enthusiasts due to its ability to improve performance in many areas of sport, as well as overall physical health.
